What you should know about vitamin B6
.
- It is a water soluble vitamin. It is excreted from the body within eight hours after ingestion. The body should therefore be replaced by food or dietary supplements.
- The body will need more B6 if eating foods that are high in protein.
-The body needs B6 to make antibodies and red blood cells.
- The body needs B6 to enhance the absorption of vitamin B12.
-Required to produce hydrochloric acid (gastric juice)
